Kuroki Jubei (黒木十兵衛), the founder of the pottery, is one of the three potters who started Onta ware in 1705. Currently, Fumihito, the twelfth-generation owner, is working with his mother and wife after his father passed away in 2004 at the age of 58.

Kazusa, Fumihito’s son started his career as an Onta potter in August 2022, five months after his graduation from high school.
