Hakeme is one of the popular patterns of Onta ware, which is painted with white clay on to a clay ceramic body.
Its dark Ame (brown) colour of the glaze makes amazing texture which manifests the character of Hakeme well.
This plate can be hang on the wall.

Fuseawase is a technical word of the pottery making process. Fuseawase plate is quite flat unlike the other Onta plates and there is no unglazed circle line in the centre of the plate. Normally plates are stacked in the kiln to get fired efficiently but when Fuseawase, a plate is put together with another plate being upside down. By holing each other by their rims.
The left image shows an example of Fuseawase. On the top shelf, two bowls are put together by their rims with one being upside down while many plates are piled up on the bottom shelf.
